Architect Victoria is the official journal of the Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter, published in print twice a year with an additional Victorian Architecture Awards edition. The publication features editorial contributions from the Victorian Chapter’s Editorial Committee alongside guest editors.
I worked on the design and production of the magazine, developing layouts and visual presentation for print and digital viewing.
This project involved the design and production of a full magazine publication for Architect Victoria, focusing on editorial layout, content structuring and visual composition across multiple pages.
I was responsible for organising and refining content flow, including placement of text and imagery to ensure clarity, hierarchy and consistency throughout the publication. The design approach balanced editorial readability with a strong architectural and visual aesthetic.
In addition to the magazine layout, I prepared the files for print production, ensuring all technical requirements were met, including bleed, trim marks and print-ready formatting.
To present the publication digitally, I also created an animated GIF showcasing selected spreads and page sequences, allowing the design to be experienced in a more dynamic and engaging format.
The final outcome is a structured and production-ready editorial design that supports the publication’s role as a key communication platform for the Victorian architecture community.
